OUR STORY
Akoma Consulting was founded in 2016 with a single vision: to Impact Lives Every Day. We fundamentally believe that effective, sustainable and profitable organisations are driven by the lifeblood of any business - its people. We have a passion for focusing on attitude, behavioural alignment and emotional competence, whether delivering leadership development, team effectiveness or change programs through our bespoke, tailored solutions. Our bespoke programmes are always centred on ensuring your organisation and people are healthy and focused.

Our Values:
To be 'Naked Partners' with all of the organisations that we touch. We seek to be 'Naked': open, transparent, offering challenging feedback and showing vulnerability to one another and our clients. We strive to be 'Partners': to our clients, delegates, each other, families and associates.

OUR TEAM
Where the Passion Begins
IAN RICHARDSON
Director/ Facilitator
In 2012, Ian took the decision to harness his management experience in the banking and education sectors and focus it toward his true passion: People Development. He joined the management team of one of the UK’s foremost leadership and team development consultancies taking the role of Lead Facilitator. It was here that Ian developed his existing interest in the books and models of Patrick Lencioni. His skill lies in lifting the theories off the page in a way that teams can understand and, more importantly implement in an impactful and effective way.

Ian works worldwide with groups from Management to Board level. His clients to date have included start-ups through to FTSE100 companies in diverse industries including Technology, Banking, Higher Education, Manufacturing, High Net Worth Insurance and Construction.
Outside of work Ian’s passion for developing and coaching others extends to his voluntary work for a charity assisting those fighting their way out of alcohol and drug addiction. He enjoys challenging himself individually and as part of a team and has completed several charity challenges.
Ian’s number one team are his family and he spends as much time as he can with them enjoying the woodlands and waterways of North Norfolk.

KAT TINDALL
Director/ Facilitator
Following several years in functional leadership roles across diverse sectors, Kat’s passion for people and a life-changing move to the Norfolk countryside led to her joining a Team and Leadership Development consultancy in Norwich. The tools and methods learned here have formed the foundation of Akoma’s offering today. Utilising tools from SDI and Patrick Lencioni’s Organisational Effectiveness, Kat is passionate about injecting the “So what?” into leadership development. Team building with no outcome, actions or accountability may well be a fun and beneficial use of time but what drives Kat is real sustainable impact on the bottom line, retention and employee engagement.

Through experiential learning built on the foundation of proven tools, Kat is driven to deliver real organisational change, starting with the Board or Leadership team and driving the behaviours, learning and change throughout the business.
Away from work, Kat’s passion for teams extends to her number one team, Chris and Sam and her membership of sports, charity and theatrical groups.

SARAH SUMMERS
Facilitator

BEN SMITH
Facilitator
Ben is an experienced facilitator who brings a caring and calm approach to his work with groups. The area of development where Ben thrives is working with emerging/entry level managers taking their passion and drive and harnessing it with pragmatic practical tools which translate straight back to their effectiveness in the workplace.
An assessor and coach, Ben believes passionately that working with people on the ground is key to his clients’ success. They are the people who customers meet, who make the impact and who represent the culture and behaviours which are hopefully being modelled further up the chain.
Ben enjoys working for Akoma because of our practical approach to development. Yes, we need properly researched and proven models and tools but the sustainable impact comes from what they mean back in the workplace in terms of behavioural change. Ben lives and breathes our value of enhancing lives through all he does.
Away from work, Ben enhances his own life through exercise and the outdoors. He’s a passionate cyclist and loves being in the countryside or on the beach.
